Spark Crowdfunding is an equity crowdfunding platform that connects Irish start-ups looking to raise new venture funding with Irish investors looking to invest in high-potential start-ups.
Think of us as an online version of Dragons Den where ordinary investors are the dragons. Investors can invest from as little as €100 in the companies on our platform.
To date we have raised over €1.5m for Irish companies, and we’re only getting started!
Profile of our Ideal Client
We have two distinct types of client.
Firstly, we have companies looking to raise funds. And secondly, we have investors looking to invest in early stage companies.
Companies
We like early stage companies that are capable of delivering a high return on investment (i.e. at least 5 times) for the investors on our database. Ideally, these companies will have some sort of a sales track record, showing evidence of demand for their product or service. Companies that are EIIS approved are also of interest to us, as that means our investors can reclaim 40% of their investment in that company in the way of a tax refund. But, more than anything, we like to meet companies where the Founders or Promoters are likely to generate a high return for our investors.
Investors
We welcome all Investors, from the smallest to the largest. Some investors like to invest a small amount (say €500) in all of our campaigns, whereas other investors prefer to invest a larger amount (say €10,000) in just one or two campaigns.
